The reason I booked this adventure was to have Father and Son time with Samuel, he loves the rough and tumble of life and has always wanted to do the challenge.

Driving to Go Ape and my mind started to wonder, what if I didn`t like heights anymore, will I be able to complete the course, or even worse will I look stupid in front of my son. I know this sounds crazy, but I can assure you, these were the thoughts running through my mind.

On arrival to Go Ape, I could feel the stomach start to churn and feeling very nervous. Thankfully the instructors were first class and they made me feel less vulnerable and as they explained and reassured us all, the nerves started to leave.

Samuel and I went around the Tree Top challenge with excitement and we both loved the whole experience, why ever was I so nervous, nothing to worry about……….. ?

Driving home, I was reminded about Peter stepping out the boat, now this was certainly out the comfort zone, way beyond the natural and what was going through Peter`s head, this was 2000 years ago with no chat about Mental Health or how are you feeling Peter. Matthew 12 says this:

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I.
