We ended the blog<\/a> on Good Friday by saying;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018This is my burial. This is my death. This is my Jesus.\u2019<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s the thing, this lady we read about on Good Friday in Luke 7:37-38, in using her own burial perfume seems to be saying this is my death! What she didn\u2019t realise is was her resurrection too!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Here is my HOPE! <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If we take our place in the death of Jesus, we must take our place in his life and resurrection too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does that even mean? Well for me it means that I have turned from my sinful life, accepted Jesus as my saviour because of what he has done on the cross and I have put my hope in the life he has shown us. He has overcome this world, he has defeated death and repaired the road between us and God the Father, this is the Good News. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, we need to add something to this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018This is my burial. This is my death. THIS IS MY RESURRECTION. This is my Jesus.\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nothing else, no one else can do this for us, no system or programme, no process or privilege. This is a work of grace, given to each of us as an invitation. The way to respond to it is simple, thank you Jesus! I am sorry for my sin, in you is my life, death, resurrection and hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
