Are people saying ‘Rot in hell – that fiery furnace’. Is this condemnation that comes from hardened hearts? Carrying intense pain and hurt and never knowing what it means to forgive someone, or to be forgiven whilst considering love a personal intimate thing just between people you know and hold dear. Anyone outside of this circle can have their name thrown onto a bonfire!

My mind started to roam and consider other recent news events, going from the micro to the macro. World events; Trumpism, regional and local wars, collapsing bridges, floods and droughts and by contrast the birth of new family members, weddings, new jobs and success within exams.

These thoughts were interrupted by a new set of thoughts and I began to think of the ‘mega’ pop group Queen. Queen have gone down in history contributing many other recognisable songs, some still played today:

‘We are the champions. We are the champions of the world’.

But back to my thought pattern: I was reminded of a Queen song, one that I find tremendously sad but one that has hope within its core.

I acknowledge the writers, singer, and producers and owners for the following words.
