Please read it again and relish the significance of the last few words.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read this:<\/strong><br \/>\nWhat good is it for a man to gain the whole world and yet forfeit his soul?<br \/>\nMark, ch 8, v, 36<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recite this out loud:<\/strong><br \/>\nHe swung a weird brass bucket to and fro\u2014<br \/>\nLike a bucket, but not quite.<br \/>\nSomething you would never really know<br \/>\nOutside the rather alien rites<br \/>\nAnd technicalities<br \/>\nOf the undertaker\u2019s trade,<br \/>\nIts equipment and its practicalities<br \/>\nWhich, ostrich-like, we prefer to evade.<\/p>\n<p>He must\u2019ve pulled some little trigger-thing<br \/>\nAnd out there flowed a stream of dust,<br \/>\nLike emptying a Hoover, carpeting<br \/>\nThe patch of crematorium that\u2019s just<br \/>\nReserved for scatterings.<br \/>\nDeftly, he missed his smartly polished shoes.<br \/>\nYou might wonder, does it matter if<br \/>\nIt\u2019s scattered here or there. Is there anything to lose?<\/p>\n<p>But my mother, then was saying through a screen<br \/>\nOf tears, \u201cNear the flowers, or we won\u2019t remember where.\u201d<br \/>\nAnd on the grass it settled, grey on green.<br \/>\nHope softly smothered in a layer of despair.<br \/>\nUnfortunately as the years have gone,<br \/>\nTogether with the dust that was my dad,<br \/>\nMy mother\u2019s memory\u2019s become<br \/>\nJust a memory.
