Read Matthew ch 2 v 2-12.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Voice of a Wise Man.<\/strong>
\nThe mystery King would be King of the Jews.<\/em>
\n We knew that the star was his star.<\/em>
\n Who would know of this thing?<\/em>
\n When we met with their king,<\/em>
\n He wasn\u2019t our king,<\/em>
\n Wasn\u2019t the star king.<\/em>
\n He hadn\u2019t heard the good news.<\/em><\/p>\n

We told of our quest, with hearts on fire,<\/em>
\n To find the star King,<\/em>
\n Be near him, revere him.<\/em>
\n That was our only desire.<\/em>
\n Their king asked the priests, to define<\/em>
\n What was this thing?<\/em>
\n What was the place, and the time<\/em>
\n Of his coming?<\/em><\/p>\n

The one they expected, some day.<\/em>
\n The one who connected, some way,<\/em>
\n The bits of their myst\u2019ry,<\/em>
\n Down through their hist\u2019ry.<\/em>
\n Appointed, by their God,<\/em>
\n Anointed, for the job.<\/em>
\n He was called the Messiah.<\/em>
\n But their king was a liar.<\/em><\/p>\n

He sent us word.<\/em>
\n \u201cMeet me, secretly.\u201dSo we<\/em>
\n Met him where<\/em>
\n He said there,<\/em>
\n Too soft to be<\/em>
\n Overheard.<\/em>
\n \u201cWhen you find this King<\/em>
\n Be so kind as to bring<\/em>
\n Me news.<\/em>
\n Please send it to me<\/em>
\n And I\u2019ll bend, the knee,<\/em>
\n As well,<\/em>
\n In humble adoration.\u201d<\/em>
\n But he would not bend,<\/em>
\n That king from hell,<\/em>
\n His mind already bent,<\/em>
\n (On assassination.)<\/em>
\n We said, \u201cSir, you are too kind.\u201d<\/em>
\n And so we left.<\/em>
\n The star led on.<\/em>
\n What had we gone<\/em>
\n To find?<\/em>
\n Then there he was,<\/em>
\n Just some kid.<\/em>
\n Our jaws dropped.<\/em>
\n How did we know?<\/em>
\n Nothing to show.<\/em>
\n Nobody face,<\/em>
\n In a nowhere place.<\/em>
\n Our eyes popped.<\/em>
\n A displaced, family<\/em>
\n Who could see?<\/em>
\n Who could care,<\/em>
\n Less, I guess?<\/em>
\n A village shed,<\/em>
\n But that\u2019s where<\/em>
\n The star led.<\/em>
\n And stopped.<\/em><\/p>\n

Just some boy, but still<\/em>
\n Our hearts start<\/em>
\n With joy to fill.<\/em>
\n Our gifts seemed<\/em>
\n Out of place<\/em>
\n In that place.<\/em>
\n But we deemed<\/em>
\n Him, star King,<\/em>
\n Our King,<\/em>
\n Beginning and end<\/em>
\n Of our quest, all quests.<\/em>
\n We were his guests<\/em>
\n We had to bend<\/em>
\n And pay respects.<\/em><\/p>\n

Narrator.<\/strong>
\nCould they see
\nThen, what it meant?
\nWhat we see now is,
\nProphecy;
\nNot their intent
\nBut His.<\/p>\n

Gold, incense, myrrh,
\nThree things, offerings;
\nEach brings
\nWith it, heard,
\nOne great word:
\nA King<\/strong>
\nWho\u2019s God<\/strong>
\nWhom we, interr<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There are kings who control through men and machines.
\nThere are kings who command through military means.
\nThere are kings who govern through systems and schemes.
\nBut this one had power over dreams.<\/p>\n

He sent a dream<\/em>
\n While deep<\/em>
\n In our sleep<\/em>
\n To keep<\/em>
\n Underlined<\/em>
\n In our mind<\/em>
\n That words are cheap<\/em>
\n And kings not<\/em>
\n What they seem.<\/em><\/p>\n

We could not bring<\/em>
\n Our news<\/em>
\n To their king<\/em>
\n Of Jews,<\/em>
\n Could not tell<\/em>
\n Him from hell<\/em>
\n Or he would quickly use<\/em>
\n It, and filled<\/em>
\n With hate,<\/em>
\n Would wait<\/em>
\n Till we had gone<\/em>
\n And have the star King killed.<\/em>
\n He would not bend.<\/em>
\n We travelled on<\/em>
\n By paths unknown<\/em>
\n To friend<\/em>
\n Or enemy, secretly<\/em>
\n To our home.<\/em><\/p>\n

A feeling they couldn\u2019t miss,
\nCame into their hearts they were sure.
\nThat down through all hist\u2019ry
\nThere\u2019s no greater myst\u2019ry
\nThan this:–
\nThe star King,
\nWas something,
\nMore than anything
\nElse, and still he was more.
\nThe star King,
\nWas something,
\nMore than anything
\nElse. Yet he chose to be poor.
\nHe chose<\/em> to be poor.<\/p>\n
