{"id":3323,"date":"2012-11-12T11:21:04","date_gmt":"2012-11-12T11:21:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cvm.org.uk\/blog\/?p=3323"},"modified":"2014-09-23T11:34:43","modified_gmt":"2014-09-23T11:34:43","slug":"the-bouras-bulletin-43","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cvm.org.uk\/blog\/the-bouras-bulletin\/the-bouras-bulletin-43\/","title":{"rendered":"The Bouras Bulletin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Luis Suarez once again scored a vital goal for Liverpool, heading in the equaliser in his side\u2019s 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>John Terry had given Chelsea the lead having taken advantage of some slack defending from a corner but Suarez met Jamie Carragher\u2019s flick to rescue a point for his side.<\/p>\n<p>In the day\u2019s other big game Manchester City came from behind to beat Tottenham to keep up the pressure on Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table.<\/p>\n<p>David Silva\u2019s exquisite lofted through ball unlocked the Spurs defence and perennial super-sub Edin Dzeko volleyed past Brad Friedel to score the winner.<\/p>\n<p>Sergio Aguero was given too much room in the penalty area and equalised following Steven Caulker\u2019s first-half headed goal.<\/p>\n<p>Arsenal drew the most attention on Saturday for the wrong reasons \u2013 Mikel Arteta missed a penalty with the final kick of the game, throwing away two points as his side had to settle for a 3-3 draw.<\/p>\n<p>Olivier Giroud scored a second header to give Arsenal the lead once again after Fulham had already recovered from two goals down but Arteta conceded a penalty which Dimitar Berbatov put away before missing one of his own.<\/p>\n<p>Manchester United battled back from 2-0 down to beat Aston Villa 3-2 at Villa Park.<\/p>\n<p>Substitute Javier Hernandez had an immeasurable impact on the game and was responsible for all three of United\u2019s goals, scoring two and having a third goal go in off a Villa defender on its way towards goal.<\/p>\n<p>New Zealand demonstrated dominance of international rugby once again, this time running in six tries on their way to beating Scotland 51-22 at Murrayfield.<\/p>\n<p>Three Kiwi tries in the space of eight minutes just before half time killed the game off after Scotland had given their opponents a fright had gone ahead after they scored the first try of the match.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, England demolished Fiji 54-12, scoring seven tries to their opponents two. Wales suffered a surprise defeat to the ever-improving Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>Roger Federer brought to a halt Andy Murray\u2019s bid to win the end of season ATP World Tour finals in London.<\/p>\n<p>Murray lost the semi-final in straight sets 7-6 (7-5) 6-2.
