{"id":3289,"date":"2012-11-05T10:05:07","date_gmt":"2012-11-05T10:05:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cvm.org.uk\/blog\/?p=3289"},"modified":"2014-09-23T11:34:57","modified_gmt":"2014-09-23T11:34:57","slug":"the-bouras-bulletin-42","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cvm.org.uk\/blog\/the-bouras-bulletin\/the-bouras-bulletin-42\/","title":{"rendered":"The Bouras Bulletin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Liverpool once again called on the genius of Luis Suarez to rescue a point against Newcastle in a 1-1 draw at Anfield.<\/p>\n<p>A superb piece of technical brilliance helped the striker bring the ball down and round a Newcastle defender and goalkeeper before walking the ball into the net.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Reading and QPR played out a 1-1 draw at Loftus Road as both sides\u2019 search for their first league win of the season continues.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday Manchester United were comfortable in victory against Arsenal, 2-1 at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n<p>Robin van Persie scored against his old club after pouncing after Thomas Vermaelen\u2019s error and Patrice Evra scored in the second half before Santi Cazorla scored a consolation goal with the last kick of the game.<\/p>\n<p>The win in the day\u2019s early kick off put United at the top of the Premier League table and they remained their after both Chelsea and Manchester City could only draw.<\/p>\n<p>Swansea\u2019s came back late on to equalise in their game with Chelsea and West Ham remained resistant to the champions in a 0-0 draw.<\/p>\n<p>Celtic remain top of the SPL on goal difference throwing away two points at Dundee United.<\/p>\n<p>Celtic had a two-goal lead with a couple of minutes remaining but United scored in the 89<sup>th<\/sup> and 90<sup>th<\/sup> minutes to earn a well-deserved point.<\/p>\n<p>Sebastian Vettel lost ground on Fernando Alonso at the top of the Formula 1 drivers\u2019 championship, but were it not for an excellent drive from the defending champion Alonso would have been able to cut the gap by even more.<\/p>\n<p>Vettel was made to start from the back of the grid after initially qualifying third but forced his way back to that position by the end of the race, just one place behind Alonso.<\/p>\n<p>Kimi Raikkonen won the race, his first since returning to F1 this season. The result leaves Vettel ten points ahead of Alonso with two races remaining.<\/p>\n<p>Ian Poulter hit a final-round 65 to win his first event of the year in the WGC Champions in Shenzhen.<\/p>\n<p>Lee Westwood and Louis Oosthuizen were leading going into the but both could only make par, allowing Poulter to make up six shots on them to win by two.<\/p>\n<p>As expected, England beat France comfortably in rugby league\u2019s Autumn International Series ahead of next week\u2019s final between the two sides.
