Jonny Evans and Patrice Evra both headed home from first-half corners and Tom Cleverley added a third from an extraordinary distance with a strike that may well have been a cross for Robin van Persie.<\/p>\n<p>The win took United to second in the table, above Manchester City on goal difference. City beat Sunderland by the same 3-0 scoreline on Saturday thanks to goals from Aleksandr Kolarov, Sergio Aguero and James Milner.<\/p>\n<p>Leaders Chelsea beat Norwich 4-1 at Stamford Bridge. Fernando Torres headed in Branislav Ivanovic\u2019s cross for his sixth goal of the season to equalise Grant Holt\u2019s opener and Frank Lampard scored a second with a signature strike. <\/p>\n<p>Eden Hazard scored to make a Norwich comeback unlikely and Ivanovic rounded things off in the second half with a powerful strike. <\/p>\n<p>An excellent innings from Marlon Samuels was the difference as West Indies beat hosts Sri Lanka by 36 runs in the ICC World T20 final. <\/p>\n<p>Samuels hit six sixes in 56-ball innings of 78 to lead the recovery after his side had scored just 32 at the halfway point in their innings. <\/p>\n<p>They eventually finished on 137-6 and were able to stop their opponents short in their run chase, bowling Sri Lanka out for 101.<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s final, Australia beat England by four runs. England recovered from 63-4 to keep themselves in contention but finished on 138-9 after Australia had scored 142-4.<\/p>\n<p>Sebastian Vettel led from the front to win the Japanese Grand Prix. He took advantage of Fernando Alonso\u2019s first-lap retirement to move to within just four points of Alonso at the top of the drivers\u2019 championship standings. <\/p>\n<p>Both Lotus\u2019s were involved in first-corner incidents: first Kimi Raikkonen put out Alonso and Romain Grosjean touched Mark Webber to take him off the track.<\/p>\n<p>Leeds Rhinos retained their Super League title against 26-18 Warrington Wolves  winning their fifth title in sixth years at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n<p>The sides were tied 14-14 at half time; Richie Myler and Joel Monaghan scored for Warrington wither side of Leeds tries from Kevin Sinfield and Ben Jones-Bishop. <\/p>\n<p>Carl Ablett and Ryan Hall scored in the second period to give Leeds the lead after Ryan Atkins had scored early on in the second half for Warrington.<\/p>\n<p>Northampton remained at the top of the Aviva Premiership table despite losing 39-17 to London Irish.
