Weir rode along the Mall ahead of Switzerland\u2019s Marcel Hug to complete his set of gold medals having already won the 800m, 1500m and 5000m titles.<\/p>\n<p>England\u2019s footballers got their World Cup qualifying campaign off to the perfect start with a 5-0 win against Moldova in Chisinau.<\/p>\n<p>Frank Lampard netted a penalty as early as the fourth minute and he scored another before half time along with Jermain Defoe to put England in control.<\/p>\n<p>James Milner and Leighton Baines finished things off in the second half ahead of the match with Ukraine at Wembley on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Scotland were only able to muster a draw with Serbia at Hampden Park and must look to get three points against Macedonia on Tuesday to kickstart their campaign in what is a tough group.<\/p>\n<p>Wales were let down by a poor decision to send off James Collins and ended up losing 2-0 to Belgium. Northern Ireland were dominated by Russia and lost 2-0 in Moscow.<\/p>\n<p>Serena Williams overcame Victoria Azarenka to win a fourth US Open title last night, winning 6-2 2-6 7-5.
