{"id":2276,"date":"2012-02-23T08:00:48","date_gmt":"2012-02-23T08:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cvm.org.uk\/blog\/?p=2276"},"modified":"2016-01-06T13:54:34","modified_gmt":"2016-01-06T13:54:34","slug":"a-god-for-all-seasons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cvm.org.uk\/blog\/50plus\/a-god-for-all-seasons\/","title":{"rendered":"A God for all seasons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Have you ever found yourself crying out &#8216;Lord I\u2019m stuck in the desert, where are you? I feel so alone and you seem so far away.&#8217; Or have there been times of pain and hurt when you feel so angry and confused, your prayers seem to go unanswered and there is no end in sight?<\/p>\n<p>Well, it seems that no matter how much we pray and cry out, we can\u2019t pray away God\u2019s seasons. God has a plan and a purpose for our lives and this involves going through seasons of success and seasons of struggle.<\/p>\n<p>God has a bigger picture and we have our part in it but we need to be pruned, have our pride destroyed, to know that, &#8216;we are not sufficient&#8217; ( 2 Cor. 3:5), to let our flesh die so we have room for the spirit to grow and have amazing growth &#8230; so we need to realise we can\u2019t skip a season, it\u2019s too important for you, for God.<\/p>\n<p>So what do we do, how do we get through the seasons? Well the first thing is to recognise where you are, which season you are in and believe God has not deserted you. Trust, hold steady, be patient, wait in God\u2019s timing.(Hab. 2:3) Don\u2019t ask, &#8216;Why?&#8217; instead ask &#8216;What can I learn, Lord, through this?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>So seize the season, don\u2019t fight it, let your faith and dependence on God grow.<br \/>\nTurn your complaints into praise and step with growing confidence into God\u2019s amazing purpose for your life \u2026 for His plans <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">will<\/span> come to pass.<\/p>\n<div class=\"linkwithin_hook\" id=\"https:\/\/www.cvm.org.uk\/blog\/50plus\/a-god-for-all-seasons\/\"><\/div><script>\n<!-- \/\/LinkWithinCodeStart\nvar linkwithin_site_id = 897245;\nvar linkwithin_div_class = \"linkwithin_hook\";\n\/\/LinkWithinCodeEnd -->\n<\/script>\n<script src=\"http:\/\/www.linkwithin.com\/widget.js\"><\/script>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.linkwithin.com\/\"><img src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.linkwithin.com\/pixel.png?w=750\" alt=\"Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...\" style=\"border: 0\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Have you ever found yourself crying out &#8216;Lord I\u2019m stuck in the desert, where are you?
