The Portuguese winger rounded goalkeeper Joe Hart in stoppage time to seal victory for the Premier League champions. The new Premier League season begins on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>England and Scotland began their warm-up matches for the Rugby Union World Cup with wins over Wales and Scotland respectively.<\/p>\n<p>England held off a Welsh comeback from 13-7 down at the interval to prevail 23-19 at Twickenham and Scotland won 10-6 at Murrayfield thanks to Joe Ansbro\u2019s late try.<\/p>\n<p>England captain Lewis Moody limped off with a knee injury, which is not thought to be serious, but Wales full-back Morgan Stoddart broke his leg and will miss the World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Wigan will play Leeds in Rugby League\u2019s Challenge Cup final after both prevailed in compelling semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p>Wigan withheld a St Helens fightback from 18-2 down to win 18-12 and Leeds scored a late converted try to take Castleford to extra time when Kevin Sinfield\u2019s sudden death penalty won the game.<\/p>\n<p>Leicestershire, last year\u2019s runners-up Somerset and defending champions Hampshire qualified for Cricket\u2019s Twenty20 Cup finals day with victories in their respective quarter-finals.<\/p>\n<p>Leicestershire overhauled Kent\u2019s imposing 203 for three to win by three wickets with four balls left, Somerset chased 170 to beat Nottinghamshire by six wickets with five deliveries remaining and Hampshire crushed Durham by 55 runs. Sussex take on Lancashire in Monday\u2019s quarter-final..<\/p>\n<p>India suffered another blow ahead of this week\u2019s third Test against England as star fast bowl Zaheer Khan was ruled out of the rest of the series with ankle and hamstring injuries. India, who trail 2-0 in the four-match rubber, lost the services of spinner Harbhajan Singh and all-rounder Yuvraj Singh to injury last week.<\/p>\n<p>England have their own injury problem with batsman Jonathan Trott missing the third Test due to a shoulder knock.
