{"id":1323,"date":"2011-01-18T11:50:58","date_gmt":"2011-01-18T11:50:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cvmen.org.uk\/blog\/?p=1323"},"modified":"2011-01-18T11:50:58","modified_gmt":"2011-01-18T11:50:58","slug":"50-miles-at-age-50","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cvm.org.uk\/blog\/news\/50-miles-at-age-50\/","title":{"rendered":"50 Miles at Age 50"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Towards the end of 2010, 4 men and a dog &#8211; no, seriously &#8211; ran 14 miles from Hooten along the &#8220;Wirral Way&#8221; footpath to West Kirby and onto Hoylake.<\/p>\n<p>The men, all from St. Luke&#8217;s Men&#8217;s Group, collectively ran more than 50 miles and all in celebration of one of the chaps turning 50.<\/p>\n<p>And as well as lots of laughs in the snow (4&#8243; fell the night before) it wasn&#8217;t just for fun as in the process they raised \u00a3100 for Compassion.<\/p>\n<p>This is a brilliant little story of one of the CVM Groups getting together, having a laugh and accomplishing something worthwhile in the process.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1324\" title=\"St Luke's Runners\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.cvm.org.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/st_lukes_runners.jpg?resize=500%2C375\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What stories do you have from your CVM group?
