“Lausanne” or the\u00a0Lausanne Movement <\/strong>is a\u00a0worldwide movement that mobilizes evangelical leaders to collaborate for world evangelization.<\/p>\n

Last week, Carl Beech<\/a> (CVM’s General Director) headed off to Cape Town, South Africa for the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization.<\/strong> It started yesterday, (Sunday 17 October 2010) and draws together over 4,000 invited participants from 197 nations, and extends through GlobaLink sites to 90 countries.<\/p>\n

Carl is flying the flag for “reaching men” and share his experiences of how CVM connects men to Jesus and the church to men in the UK<\/p>\n

The Congress theme is ‘God in Christ, reconciling the world to himself’<\/strong> (2 Corinthians 5:19)<\/em> and how to bear witness to Jesus Christ and all his teaching in every region of the world and every sphere of society.<\/p>\n

The Lausanne Movement was founded by Billy Graham<\/a> at the “Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization” in 1974. This produced The Lausanne Covenant, widely regarded as one of the most significant documents in recent church history.<\/p>\n
