CVM Wales was born out of the Cardiff Men's Convention with whom CVM partnered with for a number of years. Transitioning from an annual event which peaked at about 1000 guys, CVM Wales embarked on the mission of equipping Men & Churches to reach men from the beginning of 2012.

Over the course of the year Code-Life evenings have been held on a monthly basis in Cardiff at the Copthorne Hotel, and this has seen a few hundred guys attend. In addition a number of socials events have drawn guys together including the inaugural Annual CVM Wales Mega Ten-Pin Bowling event which brought together 200 guys, many of whom were pre-Christian.

In late autumn a new initiative at a local nightclub/restaurant aimed at 18-25yr old guys outreaching from students to skaters, medics to rappers, has connected with at least 30 new non-churched young guys invited by existing CVM Wales supporters. We are excited about this initiative for reaching young blokes in 2013.

In October the Escape Weekend saw over 70 guys having a great activity weekend away, where some of them heard the gospel for the first time and responded. This is a great opportunity to bring a friend to a stunning location on The Gower, to get stuck into some extreme sport and stuff, enjoy great food and company, and as Carl likes to say "burn some stuff" at some point.

This year we will be establishing networks in Swansea and Newport and hopefully further afield, we would love to hear from guys who want to join this movement in South-West, West and North Wales and see how we can work together to reach men for Christ from across this nation in 2013.
