Ed Dring: Loughborough

Ed Dring

Ed Dring is an East Midlander born and breed, albeit with an 8 year excursion up in Huddersfield where he went to Uni and meet his wife Jo. Ed works for Molson Coors, the UK's biggest brewer (Carling, Coors Light, Doombar) as a Procurement Manager and before you ask, Yes, he does get free beer!!

Having grown up in church, the Christian faith has always been a part of his life, but he gave his life to Jesus at the age of 15. Having married in 1998 and had his first daughter in 2003, Ed found that in his Christian faith he was really just going through the motions. It was at the end of 2008, after a fairly tough year with family and work issues and having seemingly gone backwards in his walk with Jesus that Ed decided enough was enough and things had to change. The first thing he did was book a place at the Cardiff Men's Convention (where he first came across CVM) and the second thing was to buy a book (and read it) all about being a man of God.
In early 2010 along with an older Christian brother at his church, Ed set up the men's work at Barrow Baptist and they also hosted the first East Midlands Men's Conference.

In 2012 Ed became a Trustee of CVM and he loves being involved at the grass roots level with his own church, but also being a part of CVM across the UK and the World.

Ed's a firm believer that his first responsibility before God is to be a good husband and father, so spending time with his wife and 2 daughters is always a priority – he's also a massive James Bond fan and dreams (like most men) of owning an Aston Martin one day!
