Thought provoking message Steve.
Liked the final line about doing the obvious and trusting that god will show you want He wants you to do.
I write this having just watched a debate on newsnight – loneliness is the biggest killer of older people http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-16989689
It strikes me that there are still a lot of challenges open to those who have passed the 50 year old milestone without having to compete with the youngsters.

Having seen Deano before, he has the physique of a man I wouldn’t want to mess with. I have the physique of a rack of spare ribs. While I would want to help in a similar situation I can’t help but think that the result might have been quite different if it had been me there instead.

Thanks Carl, I have two daughters too, and Rea (29) my eldest sounds a lot like yours, artistic free thinker etc. I believe she is on the cusp of knowing Jesus. She has just returned from Romania studying and said that even though the people she met were poor they had a deep faith and that it showed in their community’s, and this had a profound effect on her. Prayer works!!

So a lot of those titles do not even have pornographic images in them, seems a bit extreme to target titles which cater to a particular group, unless horse and hound has been getting more racier lately. I also see that the Sun, and the Sport aren’t on that list FHM= once a month, those two ‘papers’ everyday, what is the bigger threat

The only reason porn magazine sales are falling is because of the free availability of internet porn. Magazines are now seen as very soft-core now. I’m glad the magazine sales are going down but this certainly doesn’t deal with the bigger issue and boycotting magazines won’t either.
